Withdrawal Polices
1. General Principles
- 1. AL-Maqam International School (“The School”) upholds transparency, fairness, and accountability in all financial dealings with parents/guardians.
- 2. This Withdrawal & Refund Policy is designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws of Bangladesh and international best practices.
- 3. By enrolling a student, parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to abide by this policy.
2. Notice of Withdrawal
- 1. Parents/guardians intending to withdraw their child must submit a written Notice of Withdrawal at least one (1) academic term in advance.
- 2. The notice must clearly state the valid reasons for withdrawal.
- 3. Parents/guardians are required to attend an Exit Interview with the school administration before the withdrawal process is finalized.
3. Settlement of Fees & Dues
- 1. All outstanding school fees and other dues (e.g., tuition fees, library fines, transport fees, examination charges) must be settled in full.
- 2. No report cards, leaving certificates, transcripts, or transfer certificates will be issued until all outstanding payments are cleared.
- 3. Any cheque or post-dated payments already deposited with the School will be presented for clearance as scheduled unless officially canceled in writing.
4. Refund Policy
- 1. Admission & Registration Fees
- Admission and Registration Fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including withdrawal or cancellation.
- 2. Admission Cancellation After Confirmation
- If a parent/guardian chooses to cancel admission after it has been confirmed (i.e., after receiving the official Admission Letter/Student ID and completing fee payment), the following rules will apply:
- Admission & Registration Fees → Non-refundable.
- Tuition Fees (if paid in advance) → May be refunded only if classes have not commenced, subject to a 10% administrative deduction.
- If classes have commenced, the first month/term’s tuition fee is non-refundable.
- Any other fees paid (books, uniforms, activities, etc.) are also non-refundable once issued/purchased.
5. Forfeiture
- 1. Failure to provide the required notice period or non-compliance with this policy will result in forfeiture of all claims to refunds.
- 2. Students withdrawn without official notice will be liable to pay fees for the ongoing term in full.
6. Institutional Rights
- 1. The School reserves the right to amend this policy at any time to ensure compliance with prevailing laws and best practices.
- 2. In case of disputes, the decision of the School Management/Board of Directors shall be final and binding.
- 3. Any unresolved disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.
7. Acknowledgement
- By signing the Admission Form, parents/guardians confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to the Withdrawal & Refund Policy of Averroes International School.
